For
Homes Over 500 sq. ft. up to 5,000 sq. ft.
Natural Solutions
Environmental, Inc.
is an Authorized
Distributor of the Calutech Germicidal UV In-Duct Whole Home HVAC Air Vent
UV-C Air Cleaners. We feel the design and craftsmanship of these air
duct vent mounted units surpass all competiting units on the market today.
Used in Offices, Homes, Day Care Centers, Medical Centers, Senior Homes,
etc..
OUR MOST VERSATILE
Air Vent Duct Mounted UNIT
is the CaluTech
In-Duct "DS", a UV-C germicidal UV air purifier, sterilizers and cleaner
that utilizes ultraviolet technology and intense high powered 16" UV lamps.
Some prefer to install an UV-C on their cold air return and
another UV-C over their condenser coil (sometimes called A Coil). Now you
can with just one ultraviolet air purifier, the CaluTech
"DS".
Another reason for this ultraviolet air purifier is greater installation
ability. Some furnace and air conditioning systems, or ventilation systems,
do not allow enough room to install the traditional
CaluTech "BLUE" or
CaluTech "MINI-BLUE" ultraviolet air purifier,
but with the CaluTech DS you can easily mount the UV lamps where they need
to be!
Produces NO
OZONE!
The In-Duct
Vent HVAC Whole Home Germicidal UV "Blue" Air Cleaners are certified to US
and Canadian standards, meet OSHA compliance, are manufactured under the
strict ISO 13485:2003 (similar to 9002) and the United States Code of Federal
Regulations for Medical Devices. Manufacturing, quality control, complaint
resolution and more is monitored by the FDA through in-house audits. The
manufacturer is registered with the U.S. Department of Health as a Medical
Device manufacturer of UV air purifiers and cleaners. |
| UV-C @ 253.7

ULTRAVIOLET (UV) Light UV-C Accepted
Method! |
|
For
years, HEALTH CARE facilities have utilized Ultra Violet UV technology to
maintain good air environments. The
In-Duct "DS" Whole Home HVAC UV Vent Air Duct air
germicidal UV-C Air Cleaners,
with Germicidal UV-C
protection, is the BEST air cleaner system
for the whole home that features UV
Light! This method is recommended by the
Centers for Disease
Control for its germicidal effects. The
importance of Ultra Violet UV protection can not be over-stated. Normal air
filtration units CANNOT control disease-carrying microbes. They will
only TRAP the BACTERIA! Trapped organisms can eventually seep back into your
air or even grow within the filter itself! VIRUSES can actually PASS THROUGH
the filter! |

Who Uses Vent Duct
Mounted Germicidal UVGI Systems? |
| HOMES
- RETAIL STORES - DENTAL LABS - MEDICAL LABS - CLINICS - HOSPITALS - NURSING
HOMES - CARE CENTERS - OFFICES - MEETING ROOMS - ELDERLY HOMES - COMPUTER
ROOMS - DAY CARE CENTERS - HEALTHCARE CENTERS - ETC... (Any Place that has
a Vent Duct System!) |
| The CaluTech
DS is an ultraviolet air purifier and sterilizer similar to the
CaluTech Blue ultraviolet air purifier. The
difference is flexibility. Now you can install the ultraviolet lamps where
you want. The DS (Dual Single Lamp) features two UV lamps that are detached
from the regulated power supply unit allowing installation of each lamp in
a separate location. Why buy two ultraviolet systems to get the air on the
cold air return and the hot side when you can install one DS!
The DS allows you
to sterilize incoming air flow on the cold air return plus sterilize air
flow on the exhaust side! Mount one UV lamp on the cold side and mount one
UV lamp over the air conditioning condenser coil to burn off mold, kill bacteria,
and eliminate allergens, airborne pathogens, and viruses! Another option
would be to install both lamps at the coil, or both in the return air duct.
The DS gives you the Flexibility! |

SnapCat Photocatalytic
Oxidation Option Adder |
 |
Adding
Snapcat technology to CaluTech's "AIRTRONICS" Germicidal UV air
purification and cleaner gives you a superior method for air purification.
UV-C germicidal light produced by the CaluTech product line eliminates viruses,
mold, bacteria and other living airborne pathogens by modifying the living
organism's DNA, preventing them from reproducing, and causing the organisms
to die. Adding Snapcat strips to our UV air purifiers causes a reaction
between the UV light and the strips. This reaction is called Heterogeneous
Photocatalysis, or quite simply 'photocatalytic Oxidation' / PCO Technology
to Attack Airborne Odors, Fungi, Mold, Mildew and Microorganisms like Bacteria
and Viruses. Snapcat should be changed aprox. every 3 years. |

UV LIGHTS Ultra
Violet lights (germicidal lamps) or UV systems produce a specific wavelength
of 253.7 nanometers and produce UV C. This wavelength has the ability to
affect microbiological contaminants like mold and bacteria. The UV C light
can destroy the DNA of the microbiological and keep it from replicating.
UV C has no effect on solid particles and it does NOT remove anything from
the air stream. UV C lights are normally placed in the return air stream.
We suggest that placing a UV light at or near the cooling coils works better
as the light can irradiate this moist area all the time and help in minimizing
the growth of mold or bacteria.
| If you have HVAC
A/C we recommend installation 1 bulb in the air duct above the coils. If
you do not know where they are look for a drain hose or copper lines entering
your air duct. This is where the coil is. You want to install the unit above
this coil. Because coils are always wet, even when the A/C is not running,
it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria, viruses, dust mites, and mold.
The UV light shining down on this coil burns all of these pathogens up. DO
NOT drill right into the duct where the drain or copper lines are coming
out. You must install it above the coil. If you run a drill bit into this
coil all the freon will come out and you will need an HVAC contractor to
open the duct and repair the coil, or even replace it. A good idea is to
drill a small inspection hole above where the coil is, or even open the air
duct to look at where it sits, so you know you've installed it in the right
spot. Install the other bulb unit easily in the cold air return line, which
is the duct that brings the air in the home or building to the furnace so
it can be heated. If you have a Humidifier, it should be installed ABOVE
it. Do NOT have it wired to shut off and on. It should be ON 24/7 for best
protection! |
|
If you're in doubt
on installing the air duct unit, call a heating & air conditioning company
to install it for
you. It
doesn't cost much to have it professionally installed. Install time is usually
less than 15 minutes. Maximum plenum temp is rated at 140F. |
